GED Full Job Description Assistant Teacher Duties:
  • Plan and implement educational programs and activities for students
  • Create and maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials based on curriculum guidelines
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a comprehensive educational experience
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction and engage students
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, such as those in deaf education or speech therapy
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes inclusivity, respect, and academic growth
Experience:
  • prefer but not required: one of the following
  • 5 sessions of 2.5 hours of observation in licensed preschool or center at different times of day (use form CCL 207) AND 1 year teaching experience in licensed center or preschool or 1 year of practicum OR 7
  • 9 semester hours of college credit in early childhood AND 3 months' teaching experience in licensed center or preschool or 1 year of practicum OR CDA
  • MUST be able to pass a background check, 16 years or older and have a high school diploma or Ged.
