  • Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join Blooming Horizons.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting clients with diverse learning needs, including those with autism. This position requires a strong understanding of childhood development, effective behavior management strategies, and the ability to create an inclusive classroom environment. The Autism Paraprofessional will work closely with the BCBA's. Responsibilities Assist BCBA's in the implementation of lesson plans and classroom activities. Support students in their academic tasks, ensuring they understand the material. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior among students. Help maintain a structured and organized classroom environment. Work with students one-on-one or in small groups, particularly those with special needs. Collaborate with BCBA's to adapt instructional materials for diverse learners. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs. Foster social skills development through guided interactions and activities. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and progress. Experience Candidates should possess experience working with students in a Clinical setting, in-home setting. Familiarity with childhood development principles is essential, as is experience in classroom management, as well as experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with other disabilities. A background in behavior management techniques will be highly valued.
