Preferred previous Therapy Assistant experience. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:30. Therapy staff are expected to flex their hours to meet the individual and facility needs. This is an hourly 37.5-hour work week. Essential Functions Assist therapists with monitoring of support plans/dining plans after demonstrating competency. Assist therapists with community integration for individuals. Assist therapists with organizing, planning, and hands on for therapy groups. Complete PM for all therapy adaptive equipment at the Community Homes. Communicate with Director of Therapy Services and/or Assistant Director of Therapy Services for any therapy related purchases for treatment or for adaptive equipment. Assist therapists with administrative tasks (i.e. filing of therapy documentation, emailing completed monitors and other monthly documents to Hazelwood Therapy Administrative Assistant). Responsible for internal documentation as needed Responsible for cleaning of equipment used during Therapy sessions Responsible for compiling purchase order quotes to send for approval for Community Homes Therapy Participate in new employee orientation by assisting therapists as needed. Assist with skilled therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed OT, COTA, PT, PTA, or SLP. Assist with transportation of clients to and from therapy services. Perform other duties as assigned by Therapy Director or Assistant Therapy Services Director. Shall provide services to meet the treatment needs of the specialty intermediate care (IC) clinic patients for services in field of care. Shall meet requirements of 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics as warranted. Learn and follow all policies and procedures. Travel This position will require travel to the Group Homes locations as well as community outings outside of Hazelwood Center (i.e. fieldtrip's). This position may also require trips to local stores to obtain client specific or department items in the event of a necessity. Travel is less than 50% of the expected total job duty.
