Job Description
Job Summary The Early Morning Support Teacher is responsible for opening classrooms, supervising children in a safe and nurturing environment, and maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios until lead teachers arrive. This position supports multiple classrooms as needed and assists with morning transitions and daily classroom readiness. Hours 6:00 am - 9:30 am Essential Duties & Responsibilities Open assigned classrooms and prepare the learning environment for the day Greet children and parents in a friendly and professional manner Supervise children to ensure safety and compliance with center policies Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios throughout the morning Float between classrooms as needed to provide coverage and support Assist with morning routines, activities, and transitions Ensure classrooms remain clean, organized, and ready for daily programming Communicate effectively with lead teachers and management regarding classroom needs Follow all childcare licensing regulations and center policies Qualifications High school diploma or GED Previous childcare experience preferred Ability to work independently and adapt to changing classroom needs Strong communication and teamwork skills Must meet all state licensing requirements for childcare staff Physical Requirements Ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors Reports To Morning Mananger and/
