Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic educational team as a Teacher Assistant and play a vital role in supporting the development and success of diverse learners. In this energetic position, you will collaborate closely with lead teachers to implement engaging curricula, foster inclusive classroom environments, and support students' individual needs. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in delivering lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Support children's learning and development by implementing individualized strategies based on their IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and specific needs. Foster an inclusive classroom environment by applying behavior management techniques and promoting positive interactions among students. Help manage classroom routines, transitions, and activities to ensure a safe, organized, and engaging learning space. Provide direct care for children, including toddler care, preschool activities, and Montessori-based approaches when applicable. Collaborate with educators on lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment strategies to enhance student progress. Support students with developmental disabilities or autism through tailored interventions and sensory activities. Maintain clear communication with parents and specialists regarding student progress and behavior. Contribute to a positive school culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning. Experience Prior experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques is essential. Experience supporting students with special needs, including those with autism or developmental disabilities, is advantageous. Familiarity with IEP implementation and accommodations for students with disabilities is desirable. Proficiency in teaching methods such as Montessori or literacy education enhances your effectiveness in this role. Strong communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and specialists. Previous private school experience or classroom experience in diverse educational environments will be considered a plus.
