Special Education Paraprofessional Sub Sep (MDAP) Attleboro High School Start date: August 25, 2026 with orientation days prior The MDAP program provides a highly-structured environment that emphasizes developing and strengthening students skills in adaptive living, communication, academics, self-regulation, and mobility. Position Purpose Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, to assist certified professional staff with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives. Essential Job Functions Implements lessons and activities with the necessary accommodations and modifications required to meet the individual needs of students in the classroom as directed by the teacher. Implements interventions and de-escalation strategies with students who display behavioral issues within the school setting. Collect and accurately record behavioral, social, academic,and other data as required per student's specific goals and programming. Consistently communicates and collaborates with staff to foster student success. Assist students with physical or social disabilities with activities of daily living for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in school or learning activities including self-care such as toileting. Implements positive behavior support plans and collects data on student progress. Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, elective duty, corridor, and other related non-instructional areas including self-care toileting/bathroom. Performs other job duties as required or directed by supervisors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience with ABA principles. Experience with collecting data. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others. Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with disabilities. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work. Effective writing and verbal communication skills. Able to assist with all aspects of student self-care Implement crisis/emergency procedures according to protocol. Qualifications Profile Prior experience working with students with disabilities. ABA and data collection experience preferred Safety care training preferred. CNA preferred or first aid and cpr licensed
Highly Qualified:
2 years college credits or equivalent or passing score of the ParaPro Test Salary per Attleboro Paraprofessionals Association Collective Bargaining Agreement•
Salary Range:
