Job Description

The Public Schools of Brookline seeks a highly skilled paraprofessional/ flexible support specialists to work in a team environment with students experiencing social emotional and/or behavioral challenges to provide short-term flexible wraparound support, stabilization and implement social emotional and behavioral interventions to support student's success.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: Bachelors Degree or higher - Degree in education, special education or related field such as counseling, and training and expertise in behavioral prevention and intervention and crisis management skills 2-3 years previous experience working with individuals with social-emotional and behavioral challenges in an educational setting. Strong verbal, written language and interpersonal communication skill to support communication among team members. Ability to be flexible, think creatively, and work across a number of elementary schools with diverse staff and students
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: We seek candidates who have experience with behavioral prevention and intervention, crisis prevention and intervention strategies, and experience working with students who may be in crisis and presenting with behavioral challenge. Knowledge of behavioral management methodologies and systems - PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) Certification in CPI, QBS, or other crisis prevention and intervention system preferred.
