Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Program Assistant/ Floor Aide to join our vibrant team! This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about working with members of the adult day health center and supporting educational and recreational programs. As a Program Assistant/ Floor Aide, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our members of various ages. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive experiences, promote development, and ensure smooth daily operations across our programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful activities that inspire growth, learning, and fun. Duties Supervise members during activities, meals, and special events to ensure safety and proper behavior management Assist with management by organizing materials, setting up activities, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment Support Activities director and program coordinators in implementing educational curricular, special education needs, or recreational programming for dementia and alzheimers. Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater performances, or tutoring sessions to promote development and social skills Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols to address minor injuries or emergencies promptly Help facilitate positive behavior management strategies to foster respectful interactions among members Collaborate with team members to plan and execute engaging programs that support childhood development and behavioral growth Experience Prior experience working with disabled, dementia, alzheimers and people with needs Knowledge of management techniques and behavior management strategies Familiarity with early education principles and development milestones Certifications in first aid or CPR are a plus but not required; training will be provided if needed Background in special education or working with diverse needs is beneficial Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team dedicated to nurturing young learners Join us in making a positive impact on our members lives!
