We pride ourselves on maintaining small class sizes, strong family relationships, and a collaborative team culture where educators are valued and supported. Position Summary We are seeking an organized, dependable, and passionate Assistant Director to support the daily operations of our growing program. This role combines leadership, administrative responsibilities, family communication, staff support, and classroom involvement. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who enjoys building relationships with children, families, and staff while helping ensure compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations. Responsibilities Support the Director with daily program operations and administrative tasks Assist with classroom coverage, and ratio management Maintain compliance with EEC regulations and licensing requirements Support enrollment, tours, and family communications Assist with Brightwheel documentation and parent communication Help oversee curriculum implementation and classroom quality Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching and support to staff Maintain children's records, attendance, and required documentation Foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members Step into classrooms as needed to support teachers and children Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred EEC Director II Certification preferred or willingness to obtain Previous leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience in a childcare setting preferred Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with EEC regulations and licensing requirements Ability to multitask and work independently Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Paid holidays and paid time off Supportive leadership team Small program environment with low staff-to-child ratios Opportunity for professional growth and advancement Family-friendly schedule Meaningful work making a difference in the lives of children and families Why Join MBKA?
