Paraprofessional Sub SeparateQUALIFICATIONS
An associate's degree, two years of college, or passing the state assessment is required to support students with moderate to severe special needs.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sub Separate Paraprofessional is expected to support students academic needs. In carrying out these responsibilities, the sub-separate paraprofessional shall: Follow student programmingCollect and graph data, if necessaryProvide reinforcement strategiesUse appropriate prompting proceduresAssist with Activities of Daily LivingExperience with behavior de-escalation strategies preferred• Any such other related duties as may be assigned by the building principal or designee.The paraprofessional must also be able to communicate effectively with students and staff.
