Role Summary The Lower Elementary Assistant Teacher supports the lead classroom teacher in providing a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment for young students. This role plays a vital part in the daily life of the classroom by assisting with instruction, classroom management, and student support, ensuring that each child is known, loved, and encouraged to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom & Instructional Support Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons and activities Support small group instruction and individualized student learning Reinforce academic concepts in literacy, math, and other subject areas Help prepare classroom materials, centers, and learning resources Provide support for differentiated instruction based on student needs Student Care & Development Build positive, caring relationships with students Support students' social-emotional development and classroom behavior Assist with transitions, routines, and daily schedules Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-classroom times Help maintain a safe, orderly, and engaging classroom environment Classroom Management & Organization Assist with maintaining classroom structure, routines, and expectations Help organize materials, supplies, and student work Support classroom setup and cleanup throughout the day Monitor student engagement and assist with redirection when needed Communication & Collaboration Work closely with the lead teacher to support classroom goals and planning Communicate effectively with faculty and staff regarding student needs Support communication with families as directed by the lead teacher Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities School Community Support Assist with school events, field trips, and special programs Help supervise and support students during school-wide activities Contribute to a positive, Christ-centered school culture QualificationsEducation & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (education or related field a plus) Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting preferred Passion for early childhood or elementary education Skills & Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing demeanor Ability to take initiative and follow direction Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Mission Alignment Commitment to the mission and values of a Christian school environment Demonstrates integrity, kindness, and a heart for serving children Desire to contribute to a faith-centered, joyful learning community To Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your interest and relevant experience to In addition, please complete the application form:
