Immediately Job Description Make a Difference Through Education. Empower Every Learner. Brandon Residential Treatment Center is seeking compassionate and dependable Educational Care Specialist (Paraprofessional) to support boys and young men in a small, structured, and trauma-informed school setting. As a key member of the classroom team, you'll assist with academic instruction, provide emotional support, and help students build the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Serve as in-house substitute for absent teachers
• Participate in the IEP process as required
• Serve as a role model for clients at all times
• Provide corrective/learning experience for the students
• Set and maintain consistent/constructive limits
• Plan and participate in assigned activities
• Provide support to the residences during transition prior to school each morning

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Preferred minimum one year experience working w/ youth 8-18 years old
• Valid ID and

CORI/DCF

background check

• Able to participate in physical interventions

Salary:

Starting at $18.00/ hour w/

MAP Certification:

$21.00/ hour
