Paraprofessional-General

The L.D. Batchelder Elementary School is seeking a General Paraprofessional to join our dynamic school team. This position is five (5) days per week (Monday through Friday) and 35.0 hours per week. All benefits will be prorated through the end of the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Essential Duties Assist the classroom teachers in creating an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students Provide assistance to students in instructional activities Provide physical assistance to students as required Facilitate establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior Support educator with preparation of instructional materials Collaborate on school-based supervision of arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, bus duty, and /or classrooms Cover general office duties as needed Provide assistance to the principal and staff in the daily management of the school Substitute at all grade levels as requested Assume other duties/responsibilities as designated by the Principal, Educator, and/or Designee Requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and problem solve independently Bachelor's degree preferred At least two (2) years of relevant experience preferred This may include background in education including college and/or work experience Citizenship, residency, or work visa required Additional benefits for this work are outlined in the current The North Reading Federation of Paraprofessionals contract.
