Program Overview Salem Public Schools is seeking dedicated, student-centered educators and therapists for our 2026 Extended School Year (ESY) program. Our mission is to provide high-quality, specialized instruction in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) to ensure students with disabilities maintain progress and thrive during the summer months. Teachers will receive 3 hours of compensation for pre-planning and classroom setup.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Intensive Paraprofessionals Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with the delivery of specialized curriculum and the implementation of student IEPs.

Key Duties:

Assist with behavior management, provide general supervision, and support students' social-emotional interactions throughout the school day.

Note:

Some positions may require 1:1 support for specific students as mandated by their IEP.

Compensation:

Paid at the Intensive Paraprofessional contract rate. Behavior Specialists The Behavior Specialist provides essential behavioral support to the program as a whole.

Key Duties:

Work collaboratively with the BCBA, counselors, administrators, and classroom staff to ensure student safety, implement behavioral intervention plans, and respond to crisis situations across the school environment.

Compensation:

Paid at the Behavior Specialist contract rate.
