Aug 31, 2026 Job Description We are seeking a Education Assistant to support students with and without disabilities in a kindergarten classroom. The candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development in both general and specialized setting throughout the school.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing academic, social, and emotional/behavioral interventions within the general education classroom and other instructional settings (e.g. art, music, physical education, and technology).
  • Provide individualized and small-group support to students using instructional activities and strategies developed by the classroom teacher to address diverse learning needs.
  • Collect data on students' progress toward their academic, social, and behavioral goals to support ongoing assessment and planning.
  • Assist students with personal care needs, as required.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning and promote engagement.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, support personnel, and grade-level teams to ensure consistent and effective support for all students.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, Safety Care training, and professional development opportunities as assigned by the building or district administration.
