May 4, 2026 Job Description We are seeking an educational assistant to support preschool/kindergarten age students in our STRIDES program. The educational assistant will assist students with learning activities developed by the special education teacher. The educational assistant will work with students in small groups or individually within the program as well as in general education settings within the school where instruction may be occurring. The educational assistant will also be responsible for the following:- Assist the program teacher in the implementation of the student IEPs, support students in accessing curriculum and work under the direction of the special education teacher.
- Assist the special education teacher with implementing individualized educational programs, data collection, and support students as needed during related services. This includes the ACE data collection and related responsibilities.
- Assist students with the development of social and emotional skills and to perform duties as an instructional assistant to the teacher.
- Assist with diapering and/or toileting as needed.
- Work in collaboration with school psychologist, district BCBA, classroom teacher, administration and all other related service providers to assist and implement individualized behavior plans and data collection.
- Ability to assist student(s) with both academic and social/emotional goals as stated in the IEP.
- Participate in trainings as required.
- Assist the teacher in the review and reinforcement of instructional lessons/activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the teacher, the Director of Student Support Services and/or the building principal/administrators as appropriate.
