Position Summary Bancroft seeks an Upper School Academic Support Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Ideal candidates work effectively in a culture of innovation, student choice, and collaboration with colleagues across the division. This position will work closely with our teaching teams. Building upon Bancrofts commitment to nurture, respect, and educate diverse learners, this position is designed specifically to support high-achieving students with diagnosed language-based learning differences and executive functioning challenges. Essential Responsibilities Provide direct instruction and intervention to students in executive functioning, reading, writtenlanguage, and foundational math skills Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other faculty, professionals, and service providers inplanning instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Comprehensive knowledge of reading and language-based disabilities and evidenced-basedinterventions for supporting students with varying reading and language-based disabilities Knowledge of specialized instructional techniques for supporting executive functioning, writtenexpression, and other academic skills Provide and support formal and informal assessment and data analysis for progress monitoringand reporting purposes Essential Skills and Experience Degree in Special Education, Reading Specialist, or a related field Three or more years of experience working in a similar position Orton-Gillingham or Wilson certification preferred Essential Attitudes and Aptitudes A continued engagement in Professional Development as a lifelong learner A collaborative spirit A willingness to participate with enthusiasm in all aspects of the school community Bancroft seeks dynamic candidates who will be active participants in the community beyond the classroom, with an interest in supporting extracurricular activities in athletics, clubs, and other programs. Compensation & Benefits Bancroft School offers a competitive salary range for this position of $42,000 to $68,000 determined by the scope of responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational considerations. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, expertise, and internal equity. Final salary details, along with a comprehensive benefits package, will be provided upon an employment offer.
