Job Description
The Delaney Elementary School and Roderick Elementary School are seeking paraprofessionals to work primarily with students in special education within grades K-6.
General Responsibilities:
- Review and be familiar with students individual social, emotional and/or academic needs
- Implement lessons individually or in small groups under the direction of a supervising educator.
- Follow through on teacher directives or feedback and seek advice and support as needed.
- Adjust student support in the moment to promote student independence-Implement school-wide behavioral expectations-Model appropriate behavior and reinforce as needed-Maintain confidentiality
- Collect academic and/or behavioral student data-Supervise students during transitions and assigned time blocks-Utilize computer technology for tasks, as required
- Other responsibilities, as assigned by the building principal and/or supervisor
