The Student Learning Support (SLS) Teacher is responsible for helping students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to succeed in the classroom . It is the role of the SLS Teacher to create and implement targeted programs that improve student learning outcomes. This position requires demonstrating the competencies and behaviors needed to collaborate effectively with teachers, counselors, parents, and specialists to ensure the academic success of students with differentiated instructional needs. English is the language of instruction for this position.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

Design and implement differentiated learning pathways to meet the individualized learning needs of each student. Review psychological assessment reports and reports from external specialists to understand the student's learning profile and inform pedagogical accommodations. Develop and implement programs focused on building comprehensive learning skills, including specific capacities, attitudes, and expertise. Develop pedagogical accommodation plans (PAP, PPS, PAI) for students with learning disorders, and collaborate with teachers to implement specified accommodations. Design and manage assessment procedures for student learning, working closely with classroom teachers and other professional staff. Adapt teaching methods to the diverse needs of students , providing necessary support and regularly measuring individual progress. Collaborate with teachers to implement adaptations as part of accommodation plans (PAP, PPS, PAI) and advise on implementing appropriate pedagogical strategies for students with special needs or learning disabilities in classroom instruction. Collaborate with parents, teachers, school counselors, and specialists to ensure academic success for students with learning needs. Conduct interviews with students and parents to recommend learning aids or follow-ups by external specialists. Review psychological assessment reports and reports from external specialists to understand the student's learning profile and inform pedagogical accommodations. Lead classroom instruction effectively , fostering student participation, interest, and engagement in the learning process. Maintain close communication with student families to monitor progress and encourage participation in the student's coursework. Utilize information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance and support student learning. Contribute to the operational teamwork of the school by sharing best practices and supporting colleagues. Serve as a resource for inclusive instruction best practices. Actively contribute to the school's growth by participating in school-wide projects, events, and other functions. Commit to Rochambeau's vision, mission, and values in all professional duties. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Education, Special Education, or Psychology from an accredited college or university; or a Bachelor's degree in any field with significant coursework and related experience in Learning Services Native-like English language proficiency is required At least 1-2 years of relevant experience related to: IEP planning, writing, and implementation Working with children with academic support needs (1:1, small group) Assessment Practical experience with study skills assessment, test taking strategies, organizational skills, note taking, and general academic skill sets Well-developed and effective communication skills (oral and written) and strong human relations skills; ability to work positively with students, teachers, support staff, parents, and members of the community Ability to orchestrate highly effective strategies, material, and grouping to involve and motivate students; ability to analyze and chart data and draw conclusions in order to support student growth Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills Strong computer and technological literacy. Mastery of relevant digital tools and information/communication technologies (ICT) to support and enhance learning Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of information Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work Demonstrate a commitment to Rochambeau's vision, mission, values, and strategic aims Three Professional References (name, position, contact number and email) listed on yourCV/resume Preferred Qualifications:
CAPEI, CAPSAH, or any equivalent certification in Special Education is highly valued Intervention (Literacy/Math) experience is strongly preferred Experience in a private, international, or school setting is preferred Proficient knowledge of Google for Education platform preferred Bilingual French language proficiency is strongly preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position primarily operates in a school/office environment. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, walking, or standing, extensive use of computers and other office equipment, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment up to 25 pounds.SPECIAL NOTES
