Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of young students as an Educational Technician supporting K-5 students with life skills-based curriculum. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027 and offers meaningful work in an inclusive school environment located near Bath, ME. You'll work closely with a dedicated educational team to assist students in developing essential daily living, social, and academic skills. Enjoy the energy of elementary classrooms while helping each student reach their highest potential.
What you bring:
Valid Educational Technician II or III certificate required Experience as a paraprofessional in a K-5 or special education setting strongly preferred Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff Patience, strong communication, and a passion for making a positive impact Familiarity with life skills-focused programs or individualized education plans (IEPs) a plus What you'll do: Provide individualized and small-group support to K-5 students, under the guidance of certified teachers Assist with implementing instruction in life skills, academic subjects, and social development Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students Complete documentation and communicate student progress as required Maintain a safe and respectful classroom setting Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviors Collaborate within a team to adapt and implement curriculum to meet student needs The position offers a full-time schedule (32 hours/week) throughout the school year, providing steady and fulfilling work with a collaborative school community.
