Assistant Teacher (Preschool Room)

Assistant Preschool Teacher Hometown Health Center Childcare Program Hometown Health Center is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Preschool Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate preschool classroom. This role works cooperatively with the Lead Teacher to meet the daily needs of children while maintaining a positive, professional classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Anticipate and respond to children's individual needs Communicate clearly and professionally with the Lead Teacher Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations Participate in required trainings, meetings, and DHHS requirements

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent required (or currently enrolled) CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Must pass DHHS background checks Registered with Maine Roads to Quality or willing to become registered

Preferred:
