• Burton, MI Doodle Bugs Daycare is hiring an Assistant Teacher to join our team.

We are looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic individual who enjoys working with children and can support a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the lead teacher to help with daily routines, classroom activities, supervision, and the overall care and development of children. Experience in childcare is preferred. Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia approach is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Assist with daily classroom routines and activities Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom Supervise and engage with children throughout the day Support children's learning, development, and positive behavior Work cooperatively with teachers, leadership, and families Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements

Qualifications:

Experience in childcare or early childhood settings preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Dependable, patient, and professional Strong communication and teamwork skills Must meet state requirements for childcare staff
