Fire Academy Teaching Assistant Macomb Community College - 4.1 Clinton Township, MI Job Details Part-time $26.98 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Function As a Teaching Assistant at the Public Service Institute in the Fire Academy at a premier community college, you'll be combining your professional experience with established program materials to assist in creating valuable learning opportunities for students attending the Fire Academy. Job Responsibilities Assist faculty in classroom and drill ground activities. Demonstrate firefighting skills and procedures to students. Assist with student skills evaluations Prepare drill ground supplies, equipment and related materials. Inventory supplies as directed. Assist students with drill ground assignments. Maintain proper equipment and supply storage. Observe and interact with students during classroom activities. Provide student instruction/tutoring as directed by faculty. Perform related duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred. Current State of Michigan Fire Fighter I and II certification required. Qualifications One year firefighting experience required.
