Monday - Friday, 6.67 hours per day

Per KHSSA Collective Bargaining Agreement, Instructional starting at $17.60

QUALIFICATIONS & DUTIES:

Must meet qualifications for paraprofessionals . This requires one of the following: Proof of an Associate's Degree, 60 passing college credit hours, or a passing score on the Paraprofessional assessment. Do not apply if you do not have one or these. Must have CPI Training (District can provide if necessary) Experience working with Pre-K-12 students is preferred. Ability to use age-appropriate tones and language with students, including those with special needs. Establish and maintain a daily routine suitable for the student's needs, adjusting as needed. Ability to function effectively and collaborate regularly as a member of an instructional team. Excellent work attendance is required. Requires minimal supervision. Support classroom instruction to ensure student learning if needed. Ability to process paperwork and collect data if needed. Ability to supervise students during recess periods. Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with parents, students and staff.

Essential Functions & Some Physical Requirements:

May require supporting students with significant behavioral needs May include supporting students with severe physical aggression. Must be able to stand for long periods. Ability to work in an environment where the noise level is generally moderate, but can be high at times and temperatures are varied. Must be able to maintain composure and appropriate responses when students display verbal or behavioral dysregulation, including the use of profanity. Note to
