Company Overview Lakeshore Little People's Place (LLPP) is a dedicated Christian non-profit childcare and preschool located in the Holland/Hamilton area. We offer full day programs designed to nurture children from 6 weeks old through 5th grade, fostering a warm and supportive faith-based learning environment. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson planning, and help create a positive, engaging atmosphere for children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to our mission of providing high-quality Christ-centered early childhood education that promotes growth, development, and joy. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and social skills. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering a safe environment for children. Engage with children through interactive activities that promote childhood development and early learning milestones. Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials for activities and maintaining a clean learning space. Communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and classroom events. Contribute to curriculum development efforts that incorporate High Scope, preschool, toddler care, and school-age care. Requirements Prior experience working with children in childcare or preschool. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and behavior management strategies. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families. Ability to plan engaging lessons focused on literacy education, math skills, and overall child growth. Experience in classroom management and working with young children in a childcare or preschool environment. Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred but not required; ongoing professional development encouraged. Pay:
