Job Description

Overview Toddler/Preschool Assistant Teacher We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves supporting lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. The Assistant Teacher will play a vital role in the daily operations of the classroom, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention and guidance. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Support the development and execution of curriculum tailored to the needs of students. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and growth. Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Help with classroom management, maintaining organization and cleanliness. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and behavior. Provide support for children with disabilities, adapting activities as necessary. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Skills Experience working with children in daycare or educational settings is preferred. Familiarity with early childhood education philosophies is a plus. Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to various age groups. Knowledge of childhood development principles, particularly in math and toddler care. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning. Experience working with students who have disabilities is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and parents. A nurturing attitude towards children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm.
