All candidates will need to be onboarded and in good standing with EDUStaff to be eligible for this assignment. Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support the kindergarten classroom at Hiawatha Elementary. The ideal candidate will assist the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This part-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of our students. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in student supervision and instructional support. Supervise and engage with students during classroom activities, recess, and lunch. Provide individualized support to students as needed, fostering their academic and social development. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance. Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom setup. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student needs. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in early childhood education is a plus. Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children. Basic understanding of child development principles. Ability to pass background checks as required by school policy.
