WE ARE HIRING
Assistant Teacher Longview Early Childhood Center Wage:
$13.73 - $15.00 per hour depending on education and experience Position Description Under the direct supervision of the Lead Teacher, the Teacher Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality care (socializing, engaging in activities and interacting with large groups) to children enrolled. This role is responsible for assisting in the implementation of consistent and developmentally appropriate activities, following licensing procedure and policy as prescribed by the State of Michigan, maintaining high personal standards, consistent child engagement and customer service, while carrying out the mission of MCESA Longview Early Childhood Center Childcare and GSRP Program. Responsibilities As an Assistant Teacher you will... Assist with documentation of activities, family and communications and behavior management interventions. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child. Engage with children at level while building and maintaining healthy and supportive relationships with children, families, and staff. Communication with families through written and verbal means. Follow State of Michigan licensing rules at all times. Complete a minimum of 24 hours of professional development annually. Maintain CPR/First Aid certification as needed. Requirements & Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Earned a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Experience working with young children(preferred). Experience working with technology. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to continuously physically engage at a child's level.
