At Everlasting Word Early Child Care Center, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Our program is rooted in strong relationships, hands-on learning, and high-quality early childhood practices aligned with Michigan licensing (LARA), DAP, and best practices in early education.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a warm, reliable, and engaging Toddler Teacher to join our team! This role focuses on children approximately 18 months-2.5 years old , supporting their social-emotional development, independence, and early learning through play-based experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide active supervision at all times to ensure children's safety and well-being Implement developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and hands-on learning experiences Build strong, positive relationships with children and families Support routines including meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, and rest time Foster social-emotional development using positive guidance strategies Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment Complete daily documentation and communication with families Follow all Michigan LARA licensing rules and center policies Collaborate with team members to support a positive work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet Michigan LARA requirements for a Child Care Staff Member Experience working with toddlers or preschool-age children preferred CDA, Associate's, or coursework in Early Childhood Education (preferred but not required) Ability to lift, bend, and actively engage with young children Strong communication and teamwork skills
REQUIREMENTS
Must pass background check and fingerprinting CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Completion of required MiRegistry training hours Completion of orientation

SCHEDULE
Full-time/Part-time options available Start time is 7:30am Monday-Friday (no weekends) PAY Starting at $13.73/hour Pay depends on education/experience
