Compensation:
$20/hour Job Summary New Millennium Academy is seeking caring and reliable Educational Assistants to support student learning and classroom activities during the summer school session. The Summer School Educational Assistant will work closely with teachers to ensure students are engaged, supported, and successful in their learning. Key Responsibilities Assist the teacher with instruction, classroom management, and supervision Support individual or small groups of students in academic tasks Monitor student behavior and promote a safe, respectful learning environment Provide assistance to students with special needs as directed Help with classroom organization, materials prep, and transitions Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times Maintain confidentiality and follow school protocols Collaborate with staff and contribute to a positive school climate Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or summer program lead Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Experience working with children in a school or youth program setting preferred Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff Strong communication and collaboration skills Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude Must pass background check and meet district/state requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience working with English Language Learners or students with IEPs Bilingual or multilingual abilities Familiarity with culturally responsive practices and trauma-informed care
