Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of infants in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess relevant experience, and be committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and educational space for our youngest learners. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's growth and development while working within a supportive team. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants. Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors to inform individualized care plans. Engage with children through play, storytelling, music, and other stimulating activities that encourage exploration. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in caregiving practices and classroom routines. Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and developmental progress. Requirements Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and caregiving best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified. Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle behavior management effectively. Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment dedicated to nurturing young children's growth. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of individual children and classroom dynamics. This role is vital in creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where infants can thrive during their critical early years of development.
