Job Description

Montessori School of Duluth is seeking a caring and responsible assistant staff member for our Young Children's Community (12 months - 36 months old) to supervise children, assist with daily routine, and help create a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
Schedule:
40 hours a week, year round position•
Daily Hours:
7:30-4:00 Required to attend staff meetings and professional development events •In search of 1 full-time staff member and one part-time.
Responsibilities:
Supports the guide Assists in daily preparation, cleaning and maintenance of the classroom environment Directly works with children; provide direct support and assistance with toileting, eating and sleeping Supervise safety of children at all times Ability to supervise and play outdoors in all seasons
Qualifications:
Must qualify as an Assistant Teacher under DHS Rule 3 Current First Aid & CPR certification, or willingness to obtain Must pass a background check Ability to lift/sit/crouch/crawl to interact with children Effective communicator Experience in a childcare center, preferably with children 12 mos-3 years Enthusiasm, patience, creativity and self-initiated Interest in, and respect for, the Montessori method
Pay:
From $19.00 per hour
