Our client is looking for a knowledgeable food safety and nutrition-focused full time Preschool Cook to support all aspects of daily food preparation at their premier preschool in Eagan, MN. This is a Direct Hire position with the school Full-time shift, Monday - Friday; year-round employment Salary $16.55 -$20.45/hour pending education, credentials, and professional cook/chef/food-handler experience Full-Time Benefits 401(k) with employer match Medical/dental/vision insurance Employee discount Life insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Professional development assistance Tuition reimbursement Job Responsibilities Cooking prepared foods and meals to temperature Serving the appropriate amount of food to each classroom per State regulations Adherence to children's dietary preferences and food allergies Maintain kitchen, including surfaces, equipment, and cooking tools, to ensure a safe and sanitary food preparation environment Cleaning up after food service, including washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping/mopping floors, and putting away kitchen items in their proper place Preparing daily snacks Willingness to pick up and/or shop for food if delivery is not available (mileage will be reimbursed) Maintain daily food service reports Qualifications

REQUIRED

Age:

must be at least 18 years of age

REQUIRED

Education:

HS Diploma

PREFERRED

Certification:

valid SERV Safe certification preferred

PREFERRED

Experience:

at least 6 months of food-handler experience in a childcare facility or school setting preferred Must be able to lift ~30 pounds Must meet background check eligibility
