Job Summary Provides academic, behavioral, and student support services as a member of the student support team, collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators to implement accommodations and interventions. Supports Section 504 accommodations, maintains related documentation, and provides instructional reteaching, literacy support, and small-group interventions to promote student success. Assists students with diverse learning needs, including neurodiverse learners, in accessing rigorous coursework within an arts-focused high school environment. Supports licensed staff through observation, documentation, data collection, and progress monitoring. Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position . Minimum Qualifications A minimum of one year of experience performing teaching assistant-related duties at the high school level. Basic knowledge of reading development and strategies to support literacy and reading comprehension for students who require additional academic support. Human relations skills sufficient to establish rapport with and provide instruction to students, with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Paraprofessional experience in a school serving students from multiple districts and diverse backgrounds. Experience supporting reading instruction or literacy interventions in a classroom or small-group setting. Knowledge of the Minnesota READ Act and evidence-based reading practices. Experience supporting neurodiverse learners or students with accommodation plans in rigorous academic environments, including arts-focused or project-based learning settings. Knowledge of and experience with the development and implementation of consistent Section 504 procedures.
