Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a direct impact supporting students in an Extended School Year (ESY) setting this June! We're seeking a highly qualified paraprofessional for a short-term contract position beginning June 15 and concluding June 25. You'll work weekday mornings, Monday through Thursday, helping students at Wilson ES reach their summer learning goals. Assignments are tailored based on student needs.
Qualifications:
Must be recognized as a highly qualified paraprofessional in Minnesota by one of the following: Passing the Minnesota Para Educator Exam (provide proof of passing score) Completion of at least 60 college credits with transcripts (diplomas are not accepted as proof) Proof of qualification (exam results or transcripts) and a professional resume are required for consideration Previous experience as a paraprofessional is strongly preferred Ability to adapt to varying student needs within the ESY caseload
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct support to students, reinforcing skills outlined in IEPs and instructional plans Collaborate with teachers to ensure a consistent and productive learning environment Assist with classroom management and implementation of accommodations Provide encouragement and positive behavior supports to enhance student participation
