Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Take your passion for supporting students and make a meaningful impact in a pivotal summer role as a paraprofessional. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work directly with students across high school, middle school, or elementary levels during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. Assignments will be determined based on student needs, providing valuable experience within a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Must meet Minnesota's "highly qualified" paraprofessional requirements through one of the following: Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (attach proof of passing) Completion of at least 60 college credits (transcripts required; diplomas do not suffice) Prior paraprofessional or school-based support experience strongly preferred Flexibility to work with various age groups and adapt to student needs Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Dependability and a genuine commitment to supporting student growth
Role Responsibilities:
Assist teachers and educational staff in classroom and small group settings Support students in academic, social, and behavioral development Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed Maintain a positive, inclusive, and organized learning environment Perform supervision duties as assigned and ensure student safety

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, approximately 8:55am-12:25pm (hours may vary by site) Assignments based on student caseloads at high school, middle school, or elementary sites This is an outstanding opportunity to build your experience in education and cultivate essential skills while making a difference in students' lives during the summer session.
