Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a short-term, impactful role supporting students as a highly qualified paraprofessional this summer. This contract position runs June 15-June 25, providing vital extended school year services in an engaging elementary setting close to Osseo, MN. You'll work weekday mornings—Monday through Thursday from 8:55 a.m. to 12:25 p.m.—with precise assignments based on evolving student needs. Candidates must meet strict qualification criteria. To be presented, you must hold one of the following: Official passing score on the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam), or At least 60 college credits, confirmed by attaching official transcripts with your application (a diploma does not suffice) Responsibilities include: Supporting students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs as directed by special education staff Assisting in classroom routines and reinforcing instructional activities Fostering an inclusive, positive environment that encourages student participation and growth Collaborating with educators and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Documenting observations and keeping detailed records, as required This position offers the unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a summer program, with the potential for future assignments in the 2026/2027 school year (though not guaranteed).
