Full-Time Position Summary The Preschool Assistant Teacher supports preschoolers in achieving developmental milestones, fostering a love of learning and growing, while ensuring an understanding of the world around them and how to relate to others. This position ensures continuity of care, maintains high-quality programming, and upholds licensing, safety, and center policies when permanent staff are absent or additional coverage is required. The Preschool Assistant Teacher is a reliable, adaptable educator who builds positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Job Responsibilities Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment Supervise children at all times and ensure active, appropriate guidance Assist with diapering, toileting, meal and nap routines as needed. Substituting as the lead while lead teachers are lesson planning. Follow all Minnesota licensing regulations, center policies, and procedures Maintain accurate classroom documentation (attendance, incident reports, daily logs) Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of child development and classroom management Ability to adapt quickly and work in multiple classrooms CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Active role requiring standing, bending, lifting children, and floor work Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Indoor and outdoor supervision in various weather conditionsJob Type:
