Classroom Teacher Assistant / Aide (Part-Time) About Us Resurrection Lutheran School is dedicated to providing a high-quality, Christ-centered education. We foster a nurturing environment where students can grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team and help support our mission in the classroom. Job Summary We are seeking a part-time Classroom Teacher Assistant/Aide who genuinely enjoys working with young children and thrives in a supportive educational environment. In this role, you will work closely with the lead teacher to ensure a safe, engaging, and structured classroom. The ideal candidate is proactive, excellent at taking direction, and passionate about helping students succeed both individually and as a group.
Schedule & Compensation Hours:
20 hours per week- follows the academic school calendar
- late August to late May
- unpaid time off during standard school breaks.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday (precise daily hours to be discussed).Pay Range:
$15.00- $18.
Instructional Support:
Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and daily activities.Classroom Management:
Help maintain a positive, orderly, and focused learning environment at the direction of the lead teacher.Student Supervision:
Actively supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and outdoor recess to ensure safety.Material Preparation:
Assist the teacher with preparing instructional materials, setting up activities, and organizing the classroom.Assessment Assistance:
Help review and assess student work or track individual growth under the explicit guidance of the teacher.Student Care:
Provide basic assistance to students who are ill or injured.Collaboration:
Perform other supportive duties as requested by the classroom teacher or school principal to ensure a smooth school day.Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Previous successful experience working with children in an elementary school, preschool, or structured childcare setting is required.Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education/Child Development is a plus).Skills:
Ability to take direction well and work collaboratively as part of an educational team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a natural ability to understand the diverse needs of individual children. Ability to stand, walk, and interact with children for extended periods (including outdoor recess).Mission Alignment:
