Immediate Common Roots Montessori School is currently seeking qualified candidates for Substitute Teacher positions. Applicants must have experience working with children under the age of 6 and an interest in Montessori education. We are looking for individuals who have a positive, calm demeanor, and are able to adapt quickly to a variety of classroom situations and needs. Though we make every effort to arrange for a substitute as far in advance as possible, an ideal candidate would have the flexibility to be available for last-minute subbing opportunities in case of staff illness or emergencies. Last-minute subbing pays an additional $2/hour on top of the regular rate.

Basic & Educational Qualifications:

AMI Montessori Primary Diploma or AMI Assistants Course Training (preferred, but not required) Assistant or lead teacher qualified with DCYF Adaptable and eager to implement Montessori philosophy Experience working with children ages 2.5-6 First Aid and CPR training (current or within 90 days of hire) Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
