Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic Day Program as a 1:1 DSP (Direct Support Professional) This exciting role offers a vibrant work environment focused on empowering individuals with developmental disabilities. Enjoy the stability of Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and NO weekend shifts, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. As a vital team member, you will provide compassionate support and foster independence in a structured day program setting. This position is perfect for dedicated professionals eager to make a meaningful difference while enjoying predictable hours and a supportive team atmosphere. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assisting with transfers. Follow individualized care plans tailored to each individual's needs Support individual's during meals by preparing nutritious meals, assisting with eating as needed, and ensuring dietary restrictions are followed. Conduct regular assessments of residents' vital signs and overall health status, documenting findings accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and community involvement aligned with each individual's interests and abilities. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to manage behavior challenges, resolve conflicts compassionately, and ensure a safe environment for all. Experience Prior experience working in day program preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of working with individuals with developmental day and or disabilities. Experience in direct support roles involving medication administration, vital signs monitoring,ADL's, and care plan implementation. Familiarity with electronic charting systems, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations. Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting and transferring up to 70lbs and the use of assistive devices Compassionate caregiving abilities to foster positive individual interactions. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and safe driving record required for transportation duties related to community outings. Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
