Job Description

EMPLOYMENT TERMS
Part-time position available from May 1 - August 21
PRIMARY DUTY:
The Temporary Part-time Instructional Aide will work with one-year old children up to preschool age children. This position is responsible for supporting the laboratory school staff in promoting high expectations for students, working collaboratively with co-teachers, and communicating effectively with parents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Work in cooperation with teachers to offer whole group classroom management and assist with all duties associated with teaching in an early childhood school 2. Supervise classroom activities in the absence of the classroom teacher (i.e. reading a book, diaper changing, snack preparation, outdoor and indoor activities, potty training, etc.) 3. Participate in professional learning activities 4. Build relationships with families and community members to promote regular parent involvement in school activities and ongoing partnerships 5. Perform other duties as assigned

Education:
High School diploma

Successful completion of a background check & fingerprinting; Ability to pass professional development modules provided through the school
