The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. This role helps implement daily activities, supervises children, and promotes their social, emotional, and developmental growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher with lesson plans and classroom activities Supervise children during play, meals, and rest times Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom Support children's social and emotional development Observe and report children's progress and behavior Prepare materials and set up learning centers Communicate respectfully with children, staff, and families Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred) Experience working with young children is a plus Basic understanding of child development
Skills:
Patience and a positive attitude Strong teamwork and communication skills Reliability and flexibility Ability to engage young children in learning and play
