Job Description
The School of Music at Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable, in-person instruction in applied voice and pedagogy. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching music appreciation (Enjoyment of Music and American Popular Music), aural perception, and/or theory/composition courses. The appointment is a 1-year sabbatical replacement (fall and spring semesters

Teach in a secondary area(s) of need - music appreciation (Enjoyment of Music and American Popular Music), aural perception, and/or theory/composition courses. Collaborative performance with faculty. Other responsibilities that vary with the needs of the school. Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Master's degree in vocal performance or pedagogy. Significant vocal performance experience and/or graduate voice study. Successful studio teaching experience. Experience or potential as a college-level music instructor. Preferred Qualifications -Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Voice Type:
soprano/mezzo-soprano. Doctorate or ABD in vocal performance or pedagogy. Successful teaching experience in voice at the college level. Successful teaching in a secondary area(s) at the college level. The Successful Candidate Will Be able to work closely with other faculty in a collegiate environment and contribute to the academic mission of the school. Work effectively with students from different backgrounds and levels of experience.
