None Summary of Position:

A DAPA must be able to perform all the minimum qualifications of the ADAC job descriptions. The role of the DAPA is a nonexempt position responsible for performing a variety of duties related to dental patient care directed by DAC/Dental Director. Responsible for preparing and submitting school forms to DAC. Responsible for explaining exams to parents and making follow-up appointments for the Dental Access Program children. • Dental Assistant I Certification preferred.
• Performance Requirements Ability to read, write and understand the English language Bilingual English/Spanish Communicate effectively and interacts in a friendly professional manner with a diverse range of people Knowledge of dental office protocols/procedures Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated task with attention to detail Ability to communicate and work effectively Familiarity with basic computer operations, the appropriate software Ability to work successfully with minimum supervision Ability to maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance Key Responsibilities Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time.

Prepare form information from CMIS to check for current Medicaid status and date of last claim for 6 month check Performs various duties needed when school children attend the dental office including processing radiographs, cleaning rooms and making copies of forms that will go home with children. Calls all parents explaining the dental visit their child had with Kintegra Health, what their children learned while here and communicate the importance of the follow up treatments with Kintegra Health Following up with parents to find out why didn't keep appointment Making spread sheets with how appointments made and kept Completes bags for upcoming school visits, head start, community events and etc. Attending health fairs when needed
