Julia Street Montessori is located in a historic neighborhood near downtown Asheville, NC. We are a privately owned Montessori school with a close knit community. We are seeking candidates for a part time assistant teacher position. At Julia Street Montessori school we are inspired by the principles developed over a century ago by Dr. Maria Montessori. At JSMS, a child enters into a warm and nurturing home-like environment where every student is viewed as an individual that is unique in every way. We aid in fostering a love of learning, independence, and creativity. Be committed to helping the school continue to set the standard for high-quality child care at every level. Establish positive and effective communication and relationships with families. Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing environment for all children. Education/ Experience Our ideal candidate has: Experience in a preschool setting leading groups of children from age 3 to 5 yrs Experience with Montessori preferred A desire to learn or become trained in in the Montessori method We offer 6 Paid Sick days after 30 days Holiday pay Annual bonus Opportunity to engage in Montessori training paid by the school
