Classroom Teaching Full Job Description North Asheville Preschool:
Assistant Teacher Current Opening:
Assistant Teacher for ages 1-5 year olds Various Classes. An Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education is ideal, but not required Have worked in a childcare setting or in some educational format Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be available M-F 8:50-1:10 Must be able to attend staff meetings at least once a month Implements teacher's lesson plans and maintains daily classroom schedules. Supports each child's social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Ensure well being and safety of children at all times. Assist in making sure the children's basic needs are met (Changing diapers/pull-ups, clothes, as needed) and helping during snack/lunch time Helps procure supplies needed for the day and noting when supplies are running low. Helps clean the room and bathroom daily. Supports the lead teacher in any classroom needs.
