Teaching Assistant

Assistant Teacher Position - Early Childhood Education $14.86-$15.75 detention on background. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children (ages 4 months and up), supports a positive and engaging classroom environment, and is compassionate, energetic, and team-oriented. Responsibilities •Support the lead teacher in maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom environment Assist with daily routines, activities, and transitions Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff Help implement curriculum and classroom plans Respond appropriately to classroom needs and situations Encourage positive behavior and assist with classroom management Work with children of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds Qualifications Background in early childhood education or child development is a plus First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with toddlers and/or infants preferred Familiarity with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Benefits Paid time off Up to 10 paid weather-related closure days 4 paid holidays (including Christmas & Spring Break) Follows local school schedule for weather closings 50% tuition discount for employees with enrolled children
