Our classrooms emphasize authentic Montessori practice, strong relationships, and a deep respect for each child's individual development. Position Summary We are seeking either a Montessori-trained Lower Elementary Guide or a Montessori-trained Lower Elementary Assistant Guide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have Montessori training and experience working with children ages 6-9. This individual will help maintain a prepared environment, support student independence, and contribute to a collaborative and positive classroom community. Depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience, this position may serve as either a Lead Guide or Assistant Guide role. Required Qualifications Montessori credential or Montessori Assistant training for Lower Elementary (AMI, AMS, MACTE-accredited program, or equivalent). Experience working with children ages 6-9. Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and classroom practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to maintain a prepared environment and support student independence. Preferred Qualifications Classroom experience in a Montessori setting. Experience collaborating with a teaching team. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Responsibilities Support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. Present lessons and/or assist with lesson delivery based on role. Maintain a beautiful and organized prepared environment. Observe student progress and support individualized learning. Foster independence, responsibility, and respect within the classroom community. Collaborate with classroom staff and administration. Participate in parent communication and school events.
