Preschool Assistant Teacher for Pre-K Classroom

Assistant Teacher - Pre-K (4-Year-Old Class) Bethel Weekday Preschool in Cornelius, NC is seeking a warm, nurturing, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher for our Pre-K (4-year-old) classroom. Part-Time Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience working with young children required Early Childhood Education coursework, certification, or degree preferred Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Christian education Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment Support children's social, emotional, spiritual, and academic development Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities Observe and support the growth and development of individual children Manage multiple tasks throughout a busy preschool day while responding to the needs of young learners Become familiar with classroom routines and procedures and effectively lead the class in the absence of the Lead Teacher Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that helps children experience God's love and care through daily interactions Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and clean-up as needed Maintain positive and professional relationships with families, staff, and church members About Bethel Weekday Preschool Bethel Weekday Preschool is a ministry of Bethel Presbyterian Church dedicated to providing a loving, Christ-centered environment where children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
